As of March 31, 2019, Pectronas EPCC of Power Generation for Third River Water Facilities Project, which was constructed by POWER’s Iraq Project Department as EPCC Contractor, had achieved Final Acceptance by Owner and successful delivery. This project is located in the Third River Intake Facilities of Garraf Oilfield, which is a very important part of Petronas crude oil processing system. Therefore, Petronas top management attached great importance to this project from the beginning; meanwhile it is another verification and proof of POWER’s capability as an EPCC Contractor.
This is a set of medium-sized power generation unit designed and constructed in accordance with the Petronas “Four Zones” standard and requirement (Country of Origin for procurement is limited in only Western Europe, North America, Japan and Korea). During project execution, our project team encountered and was affected by several unavoidable and adverse objective conditions, such as unstable situation, tribal contradiction, and hot weather. However, with the solid support of all POWER’s departments and the Owner, all the EPCC project team members have withstood pressure, overcome all difficulties, carefully organized and coordinated, strictly executed, and finally completed the project safely and efficiently with unanimous approval of Owner.
On April 1, 2019, the sum-up meeting and celebration dinner was held in Petronas Akadian Meeting Room in an extremely warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. On behalf of Petronas, Project Manager Mr. Rozaid firstly extended congratulations to POWER project team on successful project delivery and thankfulness to all the staff for their hard work. Moreover, Mr. Rozaid fully affirmed the execution ability of POWER’s project team and finally expressed the expectation from Petronas of cooperating with POWER again.
On behalf of POWER, the Country Manager of Iraq Project Department Mr. Wang Haikuan extended his thankfulness and paid a tribute to the support and assistance of all Petronas staff. Following with Mr. Rozaid’s speech, Mr. Wang Haikuan briefly summarized the whole project execution process. Finally, as Iraq Country Manager, Mr. Wang Haikuan promised to further improve and enhance the EPCC service capability of POWER’s project team, and to strive to be an outstanding EPCC Contractor within Petronas Iraq project area.
So far, all the past achievements have been written into history, and new challenges are started to be faced by all POWER members. The Iraq Project Department also expressed the deepest gratitude to all POWER Functional Departments and the South Sudan EPC Project Department for their strong support. The project team is also looking forward to working and forging ahead together with them, and to creating new brilliance with a sincerely united POWER.
